SUKHMEET SINGH AHUJA

EDUCATION

Sukhmeet Singh Ahuja believes business is an extension of a person’s character.

His mother, who was a music teacher, and his father, an army man, instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and morality. This is what Sukhmeet—the first in his family to turn entrepreneur—brings to his business.

As CEO and Director of Angad Australian Institute of Technology, one of the most reputable educational institutions in Australia, he believes he has an innate ability to transform the lives of those he works with.

His institute commenced training with just one course, and today offers 14 qualifications to students from 28 nationalities. More than 3,000 students have gained valuable career skills through Angad. “I believe my success lies in placing the success of my students and staff first,” says Sukhmeet, who was 25 when he started his business.

Throughout the growth of Angad, Sukhmeet has been supported every step of the way by his wife Aarti. Their family has grown from the birth of Angad in 2006, to the birth of his daughter Ajuni in 2011, both of whom he says are his real treasures. “I tell my kids that money cannot buy happiness. If you are not happy, you have not learned anything in life,” says Sukhmeet, who supports several charities in Australia and India.

Donate To The Indian Sun

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
