India’s top sporting goods exporters host B2B meet

While substantial trade of sports-related goods and services occurs in both Australia and India, trade of sporting goods between the two countries is fairly limited, thereby providing lot more opportunities to grow this trading relationship.

Sport and physical recreation goods exported from Australia during 2011-12 were valued at $285.5m, decreasing 8% from the $310.1m recorded for 2010-11. The value (in current prices) of sport and physical recreation goods imported into Australia during 2011-12 was $2,006.7m.

The Indian sports industry is keen to increase India’s share in Australia’s imports of sporting goods and equipment.

Some of India’s top sporting goods exporters have hosted a business to business meet in Sydney and Melbourne. They displayed a wide range of sporting goods and equipment available for export to the Australian market. The attending exporters have delivered high quality goods to reputable brands all across the world.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
