Nigel said he’s already imagining the life they’ll build at Verve, from choosing furniture to hosting friends in a place that truly feels like home. “We love cooking for friends and look forward to the freedom of having our own backyard. When we were looking for a home, we wanted something that would be future-ready, as well as being suitable for a growing family and our pet dog. I genuinely believe a house turns into a home when you own it.”
Still, the journey to homeownership wasn’t always easy for Nigel and Chenelle. Declining housing affordability and a challenging loan environment added to the anxiety of missing out. “The biggest challenges were rising interest rates and saving up for a home loan deposit,” said Nigel. “Over the past three years it’s been a whirlwind settling into a new country, securing permanent residency, and planning and having our wedding. It was very stressful juggling everything! But we were so pleased with the final outcome. We can’t wait to move in!”
In just a few months, Nigel and Chenelle will begin their new life at Verve. The young couple will join hundreds of other locals who have been lucky enough to secure their slice of the Great Australian Dream. With the Reserve Bank cutting the cash rate twice already this year, and signs of more relief ahead, borrowing conditions are starting to ease. For many families, it’s opening the door to home ownership in communities like Verve, where value and lifestyle go hand in hand.
