Parramatta is set to come alive this October as Parramatta Lanes returns with its biggest program yet. Over four nights from 22 to 25 October, the festival will transform the city with more than 200 artists across 10 stages, over 80 food stalls and interactive artworks spread across 21 sites.
The festival will feature Parramatta’s first-ever outdoor Boodle Fight, giant art installations, aerial performers, pro-wrestling, disco buggies, line-dancing and a diverse music line-up. Australian punk legends the Hard-Ons, Sudanese-Australian hip hop artist VvPete and top DJ Colin Hennerz will headline alongside international acts from the USA, UK, China and New Zealand. TikTok sensation OCKY WAY will make his Australian debut, serving his famous chopped cheese sandwiches from Brooklyn.
Festival-goers can also expect viral foodie highlights including tiramisu-topped iced lattes, loaded chicken cones and international street food from American-style BBQ to Japanese desserts and knafeh. Eat Street Car Park rooftop and Terraza Aperol will offer premium food and beverage experiences, while Powerhouse Lane in Horwood Place will showcase Western Sydney’s music and culinary scene, curated by MC Trey, Koori Radio and KERFEW.

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the festival demonstrates the city’s commitment to art and culture, highlighting the talents of local and international performers. Minister for Transport John Graham added that Parramatta’s main streets provide opportunities for community gatherings and boosting local businesses through events such as these. Member for Parramatta Donna Davis described Parramatta Lanes as a unique festival that introduces new sounds and flavours to attendees each year.
The festival has received a $350,000 grant from the NSW Government to support its delivery over the next three years. Attendees can experience a wide range of activities including AI tarot readings, silent discos, CLIPPED Karaoke, and the Pass the Mic Grand Final event by Bodega Collective, making Parramatta Lanes a showcase of food, music and art in the heart of Western Sydney.

Support Independent Community Journalism
Dear Reader,The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.
We operate independently.
Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.
When you support The Indian Sun, you support:
• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers
We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.
If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.
Please consider making a contribution today.
Thank you for your support.
