Manor Lakes is set to host a series of talks offering insights into home buying, with comedian and former tax consultant Nazeem Hussain bringing a dose of humour to the challenge of saving for a first home.
Over three weekends in March, industry experts and well-known figures will speak at Manor Lakes Display Village, sharing knowledge on finance, construction, and home design.
Hussain, known for tackling social and financial topics with wit, will take the stage on Saturday, 29 March, to share strategies for cracking the housing market. Before making a name in comedy, he worked as a tax consultant at PwC, giving him a rare mix of financial know-how and sharp commentary. Having hosted The Pineapple Project, a podcast exploring financial habits, he’s well-placed to break down saving for a deposit in an accessible and entertaining way.
The event also features Victoria Devine on Saturday, 15 March, discussing how first-home buyers can take control of their finances. A bestselling author and the creator of She’s on the Money, Devine has built a community focused on making smart financial choices.
For those interested in the building process, Dan Reilly—better known as “Foreman Dan” from The Block—will speak on Sunday, 23 March. With experience in heritage restorations and high-end commercial projects, he’ll offer advice on choosing the right builder and avoiding common construction pitfalls.
Beyond the talks, attendees can visit 13 display homes, hear from industry leaders, and pick up tips on home design and finance. Free coffee will be available for visitors exploring the display village.
The sessions run from 11:00am to 12:10pm at Manor Lakes Display Village, 260 Manor Lakes Boulevard. Entry is free, but tickets are required. Whether planning a purchase or simply curious about the market, the event offers a rare chance to hear from experts in an informal setting.
