Prime Video is giving cricket fans the chance to watch Australia’s ICC Champions Trophy opener in style—alongside none other than Australian captain Pat Cummins. With an injury keeping him off the field, Cummins will be at the Mountain Culture Redfern in Sydney this Saturday, 22 February, for a special watch party. Lucky attendees will not only get expert insights from the skipper but also enjoy their first beer on Prime Video.

This exclusive event is open to fans aged 18 and over, with limited spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those keen to experience an Australia-England clash from the comfort of a pub—rather than the pressure of the pitch—can register now.

While Cummins won’t be in Pakistan with the team, he isn’t missing a moment of the action. “It’s so easy to watch along with every match live from 8.00pm AEDT on Prime Video. I can’t remember the last time I had the chance to see an Australia v England clash at the pub like a fan, and so I’m pumped to enjoy a beer with a few fans this weekend and see these two go head-to-head,” he said.

The Champions Trophy makes its long-awaited return to the cricket calendar, with 19 days of intense competition set to reignite some of the sport’s biggest rivalries. Australia heads into the tournament hungry for a title it hasn’t lifted in nearly 16 years, while fans can expect a blockbuster showdown between Pakistan and India on 23 February. The semi-finals begin on 4 March, with the final taking place on 9 March.

Every match of the tournament is available live and exclusive on Prime Video at no additional cost for members. Those who miss the live action can catch up with 10- or 25-minute highlight reels, full match replays, or a ‘rapid recap’ feature for late joiners. Cricket lovers can subscribe for a free 30-day trial to ensure they don’t miss a ball.

Prime Video continues to be the go-to destination for sports content in Australia, securing exclusive rights to ICC men’s and women’s events until 2027. From live coverage to sports documentaries like The Test and All or Nothing, the platform delivers cricket content straight to fans—whether they’re in the stadium, at the pub, or watching from home.

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.
