Pallavi Sharda craves to do a dance number

Actress Pallavi Sharda, a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, is eager to shake a leg in a dance number.

The actress, who made her Bollywood debut with “Besharam”, feels that the word “item number” sounds “negative” and added: “There are so many actresses who are doing some beautiful songs as guest dancers. I would love to do an interesting dance number. In fact, it’s the one thing that I am craving for.”

“Besharam” was Abhinav Kashyap’s second directorial venture after Salman Khan starrer super hit “Dabangg”, but he failed to create the same magic with Ranbir Kapoor. The romantic-comedy turned turtle at the box office but Pallavi doesn’t regret it.

“I gave the performance that my director wanted me to give but the extent of criticism was surprising…the criticism was about the whole film but I was the easy target as I was a new person. But it’s the best thing that happened to me and I don’t regret doing the film,” the 25-year-old said.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.
