India’s High Commissioner to Australia, Nagesh Singh, has met with leaders and experts at the Lowy Institute in Sydney to discuss the India-Australia relationship and developments across the Indo-Pacific.
The discussions covered strategic developments in the region and opportunities to strengthen engagement between the two countries.
Singh’s visit to the Sydney-based think tank comes as India and Australia continue to develop cooperation across areas of shared strategic interest, including regional security and stability.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss how the two countries can further deepen their partnership as the Indo-Pacific remains a focus of regional diplomatic and strategic engagement.
India and Australia have continued to work together on regional issues through bilateral and multilateral forums, with both countries supporting a stable, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
The Lowy Institute regularly brings together policymakers, researchers and experts to examine international affairs and Australia’s role in the world.
The meeting between Singh and the institute’s leadership and experts focused on maintaining dialogue on regional developments and identifying areas where India and Australia can strengthen their cooperation.
