World Hindu Congress 2026 (WHC 2026) will bring together thousands of Hindu leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers, media representatives, youth, women, and community organisations from across the world when it convenes in Mumbai, Bharat, from 18-20 December 2026.
Held once every four years, the World Hindu Congress is one of the world’s largest global platforms dedicated to strengthening collaboration, leadership, and innovation across the Hindu community. Since its inception, WHC has been held in a number of cities; New Delhi (India) in 2014, Chicago (USA) in 2018, and Bangkok (Thailand)
The 2026 Congress will be held under the inspiring theme:
“समानं व्रतं सह चित्तम्” (Samānaṃ Vrataṃ Saha Cittam)
“Shared Commitment: Collective Resolve.”
A major feature of WHC 2026 will be the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF), whose mission is to generate surplus wealth, promote enterprise and entrepreneurship, and build a more prosperous society. WHEF is committed to creating and sharing wealth, mentoring emerging entrepreneurs, and connecting business, technical, and financial resources across the community.
WHEF empowers entrepreneurs by offering networking, mentorship, market access, and capital connections. It brings together industrialists, bankers, technocrats, investors, professionals, and thinkers to share knowledge, expertise, and opportunities with the next generation of enterprise leaders. Through access to appropriately priced capital, global and local conferences, the Hindu Business Network (HBN), and dedicated youth and women entrepreneur networks, WHEF helps turn ideas into impact.
The Mumbai Congress will feature seven parallel conferences, covering key pillars of Hindu society: Hindu Economic Forum, Hindu Academic Conference, Hindu Education Conference, Hindu Media Conference, Hindu Women Conference, Hindu Youth Conference & Hindu Organisations, Temples and Associations (HOTA) Conference.
Founded in 2010 by Swami Vigyananand, WHEF has become a powerful force for economic empowerment, collaboration, business growth, and shared prosperity. An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, scholar, and organiser, Swamiji later pursued advanced studies in Sanskrit grammar and the Vedangas, earning the title of Acharya. He also obtained a Vidyavaridhi (PhD) in Eastern philosophy. Swami Vigyananand has played a central role in shaping the forum’s growth and vision. He is no ordinary Indian guruji who goes around dispensing pearls of wisdom to his followers; he thinks like a corporate executive on a mission.
His book, The Hindu Manifesto, presents a dharma-centred vision for society, governance, and prosperity. It highlights economic prosperity for all, strong national institutions, quality education, responsible democracy, respect for women, social harmony, environmental stewardship, and pride in heritage and motherland. In essence, the book offers a civilisational blueprint that combines spiritual values with ethical governance and practical nation-building.
In his recent visit to Sydney to inaugurate the HEF NSW, Swami Vigyananand emphasised that cultural expression alone, building temples and putting on cultural shows, is not enough for community progress; economic strength, institutional capability, and collective purpose are equally essential. His view of Hinduism is that it is not merely a religion, but a living civilisational framework that should inspire unity, prosperity, education, and public life.
