Sydney Zoo’s Dinosaur Safari continues to run until 27 April, giving families a fun and flexible way to keep children entertained over the Easter break. The self-guided experience transforms a day at the zoo into a hands-on adventure, with 25 life-sized dinosaur installations spread across the park.

Along the trail, children can explore more than six interactive activity stations, completing small challenges, learning dinosaur facts, and comparing prehistoric creatures to the animals they encounter today. The experience also includes baby dinosaur meet & greets throughout the day, adding a playful touch for younger visitors.

Families receive a Dinosaur Safari map on arrival, allowing them to explore at their own pace without worrying about session times, queues or a fixed schedule. At the end of the trail, children can redeem a Kinder treat from the Jurassic World Dino Colour Collection, providing a sense of achievement after the adventure.

The trail is included with general zoo admission, with tickets priced at $49.99 for adults and $29.99 for children. The zoo is open daily from 9am to 5pm.

Home to over 150 species across five precincts, Sydney Zoo has become a popular destination for families in Western Sydney, offering immersive experiences that connect visitors with wildlife from around the world. With its flexible setup and interactive elements, the Dinosaur Safari is particularly suited to busy parents looking for an engaging day out over the school holidays.

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.
