The Casey Business Awards returned on 14 November Friday night with a full house of owners, staff and supporters turning out to recognise the enterprises shaping one of Victoria’s fastest growing regions. The evening brought together a wide mix of industries, from health care to early learning, tech, brewing and retail, with organisers describing the event as a reminder of how much local business drives the city’s growth.
Doogood Australia was named Business of the Year after earlier receiving the Excellence in Innovation award. Judges praised the breadth of work being delivered across the winning categories, reflecting the strong competition and the pace of change in the region.
Best of Home Care took home the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion award. The team attended with staff and supporters, and their response on the night showed how much the recognition meant for a service built on personal care and community trust.

In a message shared after the awards, the organisation said the achievement belonged to its entire network. “This recognition belongs to our entire BHC family — our staff, clients, partners, and community who trust and support us every single day. A heartfelt thank you to the City of Casey for recognising our efforts and the work we do within the community. We are truly honoured. We are proud, humbled, and inspired to keep raising the standard of care across our community. Here’s to growth, impact, and many more milestones ahead.”
Other winners included My Expert Australia for Excellence in Community and Customer Support, Berwick Twinkle Star Early Learning Centre for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability, L’ada Soaps & Scents for Best Micro Business, Boutique Hearing for Best New Business, and Lachie Fyfe from Thirty Eight O Six Brewing as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards are supported by the City of Casey and a group of sponsors including platinum partner Zeemo, gold sponsors Five Farms by Frasers Property, VentraIP Australia, St John of God Health Care Berwick and Casey Leisure, and silver sponsors Atura Dandenong, Chisholm Institute and Recovery in Mind.

Dear Reader,The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
