Indian sadhvis bring soulful smiles to Melbourne at 3D Happiness Fest

In an age where stress and burnout are becoming all too common, a unique wellness workshop led by three Indian Sadhvis offered Melburnians a refreshing dose of inner peace, joy, and emotional balance.

Titled ‘3D Happiness Fest: O Me! Smile Plzzz…!’, the event was hosted by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), an international socio-spiritual organisation headquartered in India.

Held at Encore Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing, the workshop attracted more than 450 attendees, including doctors, educators, students, community workers, and local leaders. Organised under DJJS’s corporate wellness wing, the PEACE Program, the event aimed to tackle rising mental health challenges by addressing the body, mind, and soul.

The workshop was led by Sadhvi Tapeshwari Bharti, Sadhvi Parma Bharti, and Sadhvi Shailasa Bharti—disciples of DJJS founder Ashutosh Maharaj Ji—who brought their spiritual insights and practical wisdom to the Melbourne audience.

The first segment focused on the body, with Sadhvi Shailasa Bharti guiding participants through light physical exercises and laughter therapy to relieve tension and promote energy flow. Clap-tap routines and group interactions encouraged spontaneous joy and helped break through emotional fatigue.

Sadhvi Parma Bharti then explored the mind, offering insights into how human thoughts and emotions affect daily life. Through interactive experiments and mood management strategies, she highlighted how small mental adjustments and relationship compromises can lead to greater happiness and harmony.

The final session turned inward to the soul, with Sadhvi Tapeshwari Bharti introducing Brahm Gyan meditation—a practice she described as a path to soul-conscious living. “The chariot of life must be guided by soul consciousness, not the senses,” she said, inviting participants to begin a deeper journey toward lasting happiness.

Several public figures were in attendance, including Wayne Farnhan MP, Joe McCracken MLC, Mathew Hilakari MP, and Mayors and Councillors from Wyndham, Maribyrnong, and Greater Bendigo. “We know mental health is a huge issue, and this program gave us tools to make our communities better,” said Farnhan.

McCracken echoed the sentiment, adding, “As busy professionals, we often don’t pause to reflect. This event created space for that.”

Supported by sponsors such as Trinity Medical Group, Teesdale Family Medical Centre, Gurzora Homes, and community groups like Let’s Feed, AHA, and the Sahara Victorian Association, the event also received strong backing from local businesses.

As the participants left smiling and uplifted, organisers emphasised that happiness is not just a fleeting feeling, but a state that can be cultivated—through mindfulness, movement, and meditation.
