Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green attends the launch of Gopichand Hinduja's book I AM? at the Indian Vice President’s Residence, where Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and other dignitaries reflected on the book’s message of tolerance, inclusivity, and unity as essential values in India and beyond.

Gopichand P. Hinduja’s latest book, I AM?, was launched at the Vice President’s Residence in New Delhi, bringing together a distinguished audience from politics, business, and diplomacy. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, High Commissioner Philip Green, and other prominent figures attended the event, which centred on the book’s message of unity, tolerance, and inclusivity.

Vice President Dhankhar described the book as a “thoughtful and thought-provoking assimilation,” emphasising its relevance in a country known for its deep-rooted spiritual traditions. He highlighted its focus on shared values across faiths, calling it a timely reflection on the importance of unity in a world often divided by differences.

High Commissioner Philip Green echoed these sentiments, praising the book’s commitment to fostering dialogue between cultures and belief systems. He noted that I AM? presents an essential perspective in today’s world, where common ground is often overlooked in favour of divisions.

The book has received endorsements from global figures, including King Charles III and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. In his foreword, Sheikh Nahyan described the work as an insightful exploration of the shared principles that underpin different faiths, encouraging collaboration over conflict.

Ashok P. Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group of Companies (India), explained that the book was born out of his brother Gopichand’s long-standing reflections on the role of religion in society. Conversations with spiritual leaders and thinkers shaped I AM? into a guide for younger generations seeking clarity in a world of competing ideologies.

The event saw a gathering of influential personalities, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron, HDFC Capital’s MD and CEO Vipul Rungta, and Navin Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. Their presence reflected the wide interest in the book’s theme of unity across different spheres of influence.

I AM? challenges readers to reflect on their identities beyond religious and cultural boundaries. At a time when divisions make headlines, the book advocates a philosophy of coexistence, urging a collective effort towards understanding and respect.
