North Queensland Hindu community’s fundraiser brings tastes of India and raises funds for local Initiatives

On Saturday, 11 March, the North Queensland Hindu Community hosted a Dosa Night fundraising event, which proved to be a resounding success. Held at the Community Centre in Townsville, the event drew together members of the Hindu community as well as local residents who were eager to sample the traditional Indian dish. Attendees revelled in the delicious food and lively atmosphere, ultimately contributing to a successful fundraiser for local community initiatives.

The organisers of Dosa Night were overjoyed with the turnout and the funds raised. Event coordinator, Mr.Shravan Dathrik, expressed his gratitude to those who participated, “We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support Dosa Night. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves while also giving back to the community.”

The North Queensland Hindu Community is recognised for its dedication to community service and has orchestrated a number of successful events in the past. The group takes pride in contributing to the community in this manner and eagerly anticipates organising more events in the future.
