DiDi is currently successfully providing its on-demand mobility service to Victoria’s Melbourne and Geelong, Queensland’s Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, and New South Wales’ Newcastle, with the move into Australia’s fourth most populous city a significant milestone in DiDi’s Australian expansion.

Locals and tourists in Perth will receive a range of exciting and competitive offers. Riders who sign up before November 4 will receive 50% off all rides for the first 4 weeks, up to the value of $15 per ride. DiDi is committed to maximising its drivers’ income with flexible work opportunities. Driver who sign up and are approved on or after November 4 will benefit from the platform’s industry-leading 11 percent service fee during this period. Drivers are also set to benefit from DiDi’s Driver Referral Program, where drivers are rewarded with $5000 if they successfully refer 300 riders (T&Cs apply).

DiDi has opened a DiDi Driver Hub in Osbourne Park to onboard and prepare drivers for the upcoming launch. Interested drivers are encouraged to download the DiDi Driver app today or visit the DiDi Driver Hub for more information.

DiDi’s rideshare service will cover the entire Perth urban area with a population of approximately 2 million and will extend north to Two Rocks, east to Mundaring and south to Mandurah and Coolup.

DiDi Australia General Manager Mr. Lyn Ma said, “We’re thrilled to be launching in Perth, a stunning and fast-growing city where people love to get out and try new things. The city’s receptiveness towards ridesharing and new technology makes it the ideal location for our continued expansion in Australia. With the combination of leading AI technologies and local operational expertise, DiDi looks forward to making our tailored rideshare service available for more people and becoming the preferred ridesharing service platform in the region.”
