Rashesh Bhavsar, CEO & co-founder of one of the leading investment advisory firms in Melbourne, Fortune Wealth Creation Group, on how he wants to make a difference in people’s lives

You can retire from work, not from your passion, and for me, my work is my passion, says Rashesh Bhavsar, CEO & co-founder of Fortune Wealth Creation Group.

Having migrated to Australia in 2001 Rashesh made it his vision and mission to create social enterprise where business exists to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Rashesh was recently designated as the preferred financial advisory partner for the Overseas Medical Graduates (OMGA). He works with senior executives from IT and finance companies, CEOs / CTOs, CAs / CPAs, lawyers, and doctors in companies that range from Telstra, NAB, NTT Data, Slater and Gordon, Accenture, Nasdaq listed Mimecast IT firm, to Cambridge University and Lend Lease.

“It was a pleasure working with Rashesh from day one,” says Rachna Sharma, Senior Project Manager at NAB. “Initially I was uncomfortable handing over and discussing my personal financial situation, however, after meeting him, he explained the various financial planning strategies and made sure we understood everything before we went ahead. I highly encourage anyone interested in learning more about finances to contact Rashesh.”

Rohit Kumar, Vice President at NTT Data, says he was impressed with Rashesh’s knowledge, strategies, network and most genuine willingness to help achieve his client’s goals. “We have already started the journey with a positive note,” he says.

Over the years, Rashesh has met with key Australian leaders like John Howard, Peter Costello, Kevin Rudd and Bill Shorten, Tony Abbott, Joe Hockey and David Murray.
Rashesh says he is inspired by Warren Buffett, who he believes is not only the greatest investor but a notable philanthropist, having pledged to give away 99 percent of his fortune to causes he believes in.

“Financial success is all about having the right mindset, developing good habits and having a trusted adviser on your side.”

It is what has helped him rake in awards such as Top 5 Finalists, Member of Elite Group of Top 1% of Advisers in the World, Member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Best Businesses Award, Best Service Quality Award from 2012 to 2019 and a nomination for the Rising Star of the Year award. He became one of the first Indian financial advisors to be on panel speakers at the Trade and Investment Expo and was invited as a subject matter expert to be interviewed on national news channel ABC24.

Rashesh credits all his success to his family for the love and values he has received, Darshana, his wife and co-founder of the company, who believed in him in challenging times, friends who encouraged him and clients who trusted him.

“I feel Australia too is a land of equal opportunity, where everyone gets a chance to turn their dreams into reality.”
