IEC Awards 2018 Winner — Executive [Male]

Ketan Kale, General Manager—Fuel, at Coles Express, has more than 17 years of experience leading strategy and change in the retail, oil and IT industries. He currently leads a high performing team to manage a fuel and convenience network of over 720 locations across all states in Australia.

Coles Express is one of Australia’s key players in a highly competitive retail market, and so on a day to day basis Ketan operates in a high pressure environment managing everything from customer value proposition and fuel sales and revenue, to pricing and infrastructure management. At Coles, Ketan is also the founder and program director of a unique centralised fuel stock management system which has resulted in cost savings of millions of dollars. For his work Ketan has been recognised with numerous accolades such as the Coles Myer Innovation Award and National Achievers Award.

Giving back to the community is always top of mind for Ketan. He supports charities such as Bully Zero Australia to assist in raising funds to provide educational programs for children, and the Monash Children’s Hospital.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
