43 new land lots snapped up within three weeks of sales gallery opening

Leading Australian property developer Country Garden Australia has officially sold out the first release of 43 lots at its landmark Windermere project in Melbourne’s booming western region, a few weeks after the opening of the project’s sales gallery.

Located at 275 Greens Road, Mambourin, the Windermere sales gallery opened to the public on Saturday 9 June, with over 400 people turning out to tour the 500sqm state-of-the-art facility, which showcases the amazing public amenity on offer at Windermere through touch-screen technology, a theatre room, a scale model, oversized plans and gallery-style imagery.

This was followed with a buyer event on Saturday 23 June, where interested parties had the opportunity to purchase lots ranging in size from 350sqm to 723sqm.

With competitive prices starting at $254,500, the public interest in Windermere has been significant, according to Dr Guotao Hu, Chief Executive Officer of Country Garden Australia.

“Over 2,000 people have registered their interest in Windermere since April, so we were expecting this to translate into strong sales, and to sell out this quickly is a testament to the strength of our vision for Windermere,” said Dr Hu.

“The community were eager to see our plans for Windermere in more detail and understand how this community will shape the future of Melbourne’s western corridor—and once they did, the sales results naturally followed.

“Visitors to our sales gallery have regularly stayed for lengthy periods and explored all the areas of the gallery, including the dedicated brand zone, which touches on the three pillars of Windermere—Mind, Body and Soul—as well as the digital touch screen masterplan and sales experience, children’s playground and outdoor BBQ area.”

The high level of interest in Windermere is also indicative of the strong demand for land in Melbourne—which has overtaken Sydney as Australia’s fastest-growing city—says Paul Ciprian, Project Director for Windermere sales agents, Oliver Hume.

“Our sales have been particularly strong in the first home buyer market, with many younger buyers looking to secure an affordable block on which to build their first home,” said Mr Ciprian.

“In addition, many of the first release lots were sold to upgrader buyers seeking to build their ‘forever’ home.

“This just goes to show the strength of the demand for new land releases in and around Melbourne, not to mention the quality of the community planned by Country Garden Australia.”

Mr Ciprian says Windermere’s marketing has also captured the attention of the market.

“Our press and digital advertising campaign, not to mention billboard and other prominent signage in the area, has really helped set the scene for what future residents can expect at Windermere,” he added.

Amenities here include four proposed schools, as well as a community centre, indoor recreation centre, childcare facility and sporting ovals for AFL and cricket, plus netball courts, as Windermere is designed for people seeking an active and engaged lifestyle.

“Add to this over three kilometres of walking paths set amongst 50 hectares of open space, including a wetlands, parklands, sports areas and reserves, and it’s clear to see that Windermere is set to become an outstanding new community designed to enrich every part of residents’ lives,” said Mr Ciprian.
