The Great Southern Touring Route is regarded as one of the world’s best road trips. The journey begins in Melbourne and takes in the waterfront city of Geelong, the food and wine region of Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road—including the dramatic rock formation of the Twelve Apostles. It passes through the seaside city of Warrnambool and the pretty hamlet of Port Fairy.

The journey allows one to experience the majestic nature of Grampians National Park, with its cascading waterfalls and incredible views across the Australian landscape. One can also see kangaroos in the wild and learn about the Aboriginal heritage of the area at Brambuk the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. The road trip takes travellers back to Melbourne via the famous Sovereign Hill and the gold rush history and grandeur of Ballarat and the health healing waters of Daylesford and spa country. Australia’s greatest road trip is full of family fun but can also be a very romantic journey! An adventure full of experiences and friendly locals that will delight and inspire every traveller.
