Snow at 105cm; beginners lessons on full swing

With a base of up to 105cm in snow-making areas, Falls Creek is having one of the best seasons in years. With big snow storms consistently coming through and bring cold, dry snow with them each time we’re set up for a great August and September. We have all lifts and all terrain open and sunshine and blue skies forecast for this weekend. There is great skiing and snowboarding all over the mountain from our perfect beginner terrain right through to our advanced tree runs and steeps on the Summit.

If you’re a beginner or looking to improve then the best thing you can do is take a lesson, and the Falls Creek Snowsports School is one of the best places to learn. Our expert instructors are here to help you progress and improve your skiing or snowboarding offering group lessons for all abilities. Our instructors match your ability with the terrain you’re ready to ski or snowboard on so they’re always helping you improve and progress.

Beginner Programs

Starting out on skis or a snowboard can be a daunting task—especially if it is your first time at an alpine resort. At Falls Creek we have made things easy to learn skiing and snowboarding by offering a number of beginner-focused Snowsports School programs. These programs all feature tuition from one of our professional instructors along with a Lift Pass that gives you access to lifts and terrain suitable for your experience and ability.

Falls Creek has some of the best slopes to learn on and great instructors to help you every step of the way. The Learn To Ski/Snowboard Programs set you up for your very first day on the snow! The Learn to Ski Program is ideal for those who are new to Skiing or Snowboarding and are staying at the resort for a number of days. The program offers a 2½ hour lesson daily plus a Lift Pass that opens up to more terrain the longer you stay to allow you to progress onto more challenging runs.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
