One for all, all for one: Jasdeep Chug and Harman Sandhu

Harman Sandhu and Jasdeep Chug have been friends since they were six years old. The two come from a small town named Sri Ganganagar, located in the beautiful state of Rajasthan, India. The two went to school together and then decided to pursue their studies in Australia together as well and came to the country in 1999. After completing their Masters Degree in Information Systems Management they both took on part-time jobs. They decided to focus on the Australian Migration and Education sector, and in 2006, went on to start their own business Waves Consultancy with the view of assisting migrants. Over the years the business has built up a large database of clientele which has rapidly grown.

Coaching for the community. Harman and Jasdeep are also involved in community events and have volunteered for Auskick coaching as well as coaching children for Cricket Australia, both voluntary programs to develop sports in the community. The two are also actively involved in a non-profit organisation called United Voice of Australia, which fights cases of family violence, bullying, and harassment.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
