Melbourne’s south-east will have a new option for Diwali shopping this year, with Diyas & Diamonds set to take place at Fountain Gate Hotel at Westfield Fountain Gate on Sunday, 1 November.
The event will bring together boutique vendors offering a range of products aimed at shoppers preparing for the festive season, including women’s couture, jewellery, children’s clothing, Diwali gifts and gift hampers.
Organisers describe the event as an afternoon and evening gathering where visitors can shop while spending time with family and friends. The event will run from 12pm to 8pm, with free entry for registered guests.
Alongside the retail offering, the organisers plan to include activities for children, with the aim of making the event suitable for families.
The timing places the event on the Sunday before the Melbourne Cup public holiday, which falls on Tuesday, 3 November this year. For shoppers preparing for Diwali, the date provides an opportunity to begin festive purchases ahead of celebrations.
Diyas & Diamonds is being presented under the tagline “Shop, Sip & Socialise”, reflecting its focus on combining shopping with an opportunity for visitors to meet and spend time together.
The event will feature a selection of independent and boutique vendors, giving visitors the chance to browse different products in one location rather than visiting multiple stores.
For those preparing for Diwali, the offerings are expected to cover several of the more common festive purchases, from clothing and jewellery to presents and hampers.
The organisers say further information, including vendor announcements and event updates, will be shared through the @priveeventsmelbourne Instagram account.
Diyas & Diamonds will be held at Fountain Gate Hotel, Westfield Fountain Gate, on Sunday, 1 November 2026, from 12pm to 8pm. Entry is free, with registration required.
