The Hindu Economic Forum (HEF) is a platform that brings together entrepreneurs, industrialists, traders, bankers, technocrats, professionals, economists, academicians, and thought leaders from the Hindu community to collaborate, share knowledge, and support one another’s growth. In Australia, HEF connects more than 1,200 businesses across multiple states, providing a valuable platform for collaboration and business development.
The forum operates through national and city chapters in different countries and organizes events, colloquia, and networking forums for business collaboration. These gatherings often focus on investment, trade, innovation, and building business connections among members.
On 28 March 2026, the HEF NSW Chapter successfully launched its 2026 business networking series in Sydney, bringing together more than 45 entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders in a highly engaging and collaborative setting.

The session was led by the newly formed HEF NSW team under the leadership of NSW Chapter CEO Hitesh Kaplish. The event followed an interactive format, with attendees given the opportunity to introduce themselves, their businesses, and potential areas for collaboration. The program concluded with open networking, allowing participants to strengthen relationships and explore genuine business opportunities. The proceedings were well conducted by Ms Sneha. The event also acknowledged the support of Nim Gholkar and her organisation Yimri for providing the venue.
Speaking at the event, Rajendra Pandey, Chairperson of HEF Australia, said:
“HEF is focused on building a practical business ecosystem where entrepreneurs and professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow. There is a significant untapped potential within our community, and platforms like this help unlock real opportunities.”

Amit Das, CEO and Founder of iSoft Technologies, also shared insights on the importance of positivity, collaboration, and supporting fellow entrepreneurs, emphasizing that strong networks are essential for long-term business success.
The strong level of engagement throughout the session reflected a clear demand for structured platforms that go beyond traditional networking and deliver meaningful business value.

Support Independent Community Journalism
Dear Reader,The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.
We operate independently.
Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.
When you support The Indian Sun, you support:
• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers
We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.
