Indian fan zones sold out 50 days ahead of Australia–India series

Cricket Australia has confirmed that the dedicated Indian fan zones at all eight venues for the upcoming BKT Tyres Men’s ODI and T20I Series are officially sold out, more than seven weeks before the first ball is bowled.

Public tickets for Sydney and Canberra are also gone, reflecting the intense demand for what promises to be one of the summer’s most closely watched contests.

With fan zones at full capacity for all three ODIs and five T20Is, organisers say the appetite for live cricket shows no sign of slowing. Indian supporters, known for their energy and colour, will once again bring a festival-like atmosphere to the grounds.

Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager of Events and Operations at Cricket Australia, said the response highlighted the excitement surrounding the series.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the Indian fan zones selling out across all eight venues,” he said. “We are excited to see the momentum building around this series and the strong passion fans continue to display for the game. We’re looking forward to a vibrant atmosphere in the stands and a world class contest on the field between two great cricketing nations.”

The first match of the ODI series will be played at Perth Stadium on 19 October, followed by Adelaide Oval on 23 October and the Sydney Cricket Ground on 25 October. The T20I fixtures will be staged at Canberra’s Manuka Oval on 29 October, the MCG on 31 October, Bellerive Oval in Hobart on 2 November, Gold Coast Stadium on 6 November, and The Gabba in Brisbane on 8 November.

Fans still hoping to secure a seat are being urged to act quickly, with remaining tickets selling fast. For those unable to attend, the matches will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, while ABC, Triple M, and SEN will provide ball-by-ball coverage across radio.
