The Asia-Australia Business Conclave and Awards 2024, held at the historic Parliament of New South Wales, celebrated exceptional leaders strengthening ties between Australia and Asia.
Among the honorees was Nadeem Ahmed, founder of Indians in Sydney, recognised for his visionary leadership in empowering the Indian community in Australia and fostering cross-cultural collaborations.
Organised by the World Consulting and Research Corporation International (WCRCINT), this year’s conclave themed “Synergy in Diversity” brought together business, cultural, and social leaders to explore future opportunities for India-Australia relations.
Nadeem Ahmed: Bridging Cultures
Originally from Chandigarh, India, Ahmed migrated to Sydney nearly two decades ago and established Indians in Sydney, a platform connecting Indian professionals and entrepreneurs while supporting their growth in Australia. His efforts have strengthened the Indian diaspora’s contributions to Australia’s multicultural landscape and bilateral relations.
Accepting the award, Ahmed dedicated it to the collective efforts of the Indians in Sydney community, stating, “This recognition reflects our commitment to building bridges and enriching both cultures.”
Empowering the Community
Indians in Sydney has evolved into a key hub for networking, mentorship, and professional growth, enhancing Australia’s business and cultural ecosystem. The platform encourages dialogue and collaboration, positioning the Indian diaspora as vital contributors to Australia’s success.
Celebrating Leadership and Innovation
The event also honoured Gurnam Singh, founder of AISECS, for promoting business and cultural exchange, and highlighted the vision of WCRCINT founder Abhimanyu Ghosh, who emphasized diversity and innovation as drivers of global success.
The conclave reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and diversity in fostering transformative growth, making it a cornerstone event for strengthening India-Australia ties.
