Krish Arora, a 10-year-old Indian-British boy from Hounslow, West London, has stunned the world with an impressive IQ score of 162, surpassing the estimated IQs of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. This exceptional score places him in the top 1 per cent of the most intelligent people globally, UK-based news media reported.

Krish has earned a spot in Mensa, the exclusive society for individuals with high IQs. He is also set to begin at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth’s School, a leading UK grammar school, this September.

Krish described his exam experience as effortless, saying, “The 11-plus exams were too easy.” Excited to begin at his new school, he hopes for a greater challenge, adding, “Primary school is boring. I don’t learn anything. All we do is multiplication and write sentences all day. I like to do algebra.”

His parents, Mauli and Nischal, both engineers, first noticed his exceptional abilities when he was just four years old.

Mauli, who works in IT, was quoted by the media recalling Krish’s extraordinary abilities. “The things he was doing at four were far beyond his age. He could read fluently, his spelling was excellent, and he had a natural talent for maths. I remember, just before he turned four, he sat with me for three hours and completed an entire maths book. He was doing decimal divisions at that age.”

Remarkably, after only four months of playing chess, Krish managed to defeat his mentor, a player with a FIDE rating of 1600. Recognising his abilities, his parents arranged for him to have a chess tutor. Now, Krish frequently outplays his teacher, demonstrating his outstanding problem-solving skills.

Outside of chess, Krish is also an accomplished pianist and frequently helps his friends with their schoolwork. He has received awards as a pianist and was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Trinity College of Music after completing four grades in just six months. He currently holds a Grade 7 piano certificate.

In his spare time, Krish loves solving puzzles and crosswords and is an avid fan of the TV show Young Sheldon, msn.com reported.

Krish has a twin sister, Keira, who also shares his remarkable intelligence.

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.
