Runcorn State Heights School in Brisbane transformed into a sanctuary of spiritual insight on October 27th as the esteemed Guru, Vaddiparti Padmakar Garu, took attendees on a journey through the sacred narratives of the Shiva Maha Puranam. Known affectionately as Brahmasri, Pravachananidhi, and Abhinava Shuka, Padmakar Garu engaged a diverse audience eager to explore the divine glories of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, collectively celebrated as Shiva Parvati Mahima Vaibhavam.

The three-hour event, held from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and organised by the Sri Kamakshi Ekambareswara Dhaam (SKED), gathered spiritual seekers and devotees alike, all captivated by the evening’s teachings. The event began with traditional prayers, welcoming participants into an atmosphere ripe for introspection. Padmakar Garu’s discourse, rich in mythological wisdom, examined the stories of Lord Shiva and Parvati, portraying their union and virtues as reflections of devotion, moral courage, and spiritual growth.

With a storytelling style that bridged ancient wisdom with present-day reflections, Padmakar Garu highlighted how these divine tales reveal paths to self-transformation and a deeper appreciation for righteous living. The audience listened intently, occasionally pausing to reflect on questions or engage in discussions that allowed them to connect the teachings to their own lives.

Beyond the powerful stories, the gathering became a place of community and kinship, as attendees from varied backgrounds shared in this spiritual experience. The event fostered not just personal growth but also a sense of shared heritage and cultural understanding, essential elements that many participants felt were beautifully woven into the Brisbane event. Geetha, a contact for SKED at 0414 614 937, encourages anyone interested in upcoming events to join these gatherings that celebrate both unity and diversity through spirituality.

By the time the evening drew to a close, attendees departed with new insights and a fresh sense of purpose, eager to bring the values of devotion and inner strength into their daily routines. Brisbane’s community spirit shone brightly, with this event serving as a reminder of the enduring power of traditional teachings in enriching contemporary lives.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.
