Pride Hotels Group, a leading player in India’s hospitality industry, has taken unique initiatives to empower its future leaders.
Recently, the group’s D.R.E.A.M. 2.0 program kicked off with an engaging three-day orientation at Pride Plaza Ahmedabad. The D.R.E.A.M. (Determined Refined Excellence for Aspiring Managers) program aims to prepare young individuals to meet all challenges.
With the hospitality industry seeing many changes in recent years, especially in the post-pandemic era, the program aims to boost diversity, skill development, and inclusivity at both micro and macro levels.
This year, the program achieved an important milestone, with 50 per cent of its management trainees being women. This also speaks to the group’s commitment to promoting diversity and gender inclusivity.
The recently conducted three-day orientation for the new group of management trainees focused on new learning and pushing creative boundaries at work. It started with a welcome address by Shailendra Dharme, Head of Corporate Learning and Development, and Jayesh Wadher, Head of Corporate Talent and Culture.
The event was graced by the presence of CEO Satyen Jain and Executive Vice President Atul Upadhyay, who shared their rich experiences and valuable insights with the “dreamers.”
Their presence and sharing of knowledge highlighted the program’s role in empowering aspiring managers with the required skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of the hospitality industry and also training them to elevate the guest experience at every level.
The orientation program also saw Murli Menon, a leading travel storyteller and ZENLP trainer, sharing his varied travel experiences and stress-management techniques to beat the blues away.
His insights into the art of narrative added much value to the training of young participants. Speaking about his experience of being a part of this program, Murli Menon said, “It was a great experience to connect and share ideas with young minds. Their enthusiasm to make a difference in the hospitality industry was really infectious. Each one of them was curious to learn more. This unique program and its initiatives are really great to break the ice and also add to the knowledge.”
Guest faculties from the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) introduced the young participants to innovative concepts and the ever-changing technology and culinary trends so that they can be their best versions at work. The learnings will give them a boost to ace their respective roles in the hospitality industry.

Support Independent Community Journalism
Dear Reader,The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.
We operate independently.
Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.
