Each year, it brings together thousands of people who come to celebrate, learn, and appreciate the diverse heritage of our Indian community,” Minister Stewart stated. The event has become a staple in Townsville’s cultural calendar, with growing support from the Queensland government, which acknowledges its importance in fostering multicultural unity and understanding.

It’s heartening to see how our local community embraces the festival, and I am proud of the support it receives from all levels of government. This celebration of Indian culture is a highlight of our annual events and reflects the inclusive spirit of Townsville.”
