A honey company in Queensland is opening a packing and labelling factory to give low-cost professional liquid packing and labelling solutions to the retail business. Hampson Honey, headquartered in Jimboomba, has a 10,000-unit-per-day capacity for honey, syrups, and other liquids, and owner Carl Hampson said it had been a lengthy process to get the facility up and running. Mr Hampson stated, “It took us around two years of preparation and a lot of finance to get the plant up and operating.” HACCP, GFSI, and USDA organic certifications are all available, and the factory can pack organic brands. Hampson Honey’s packing services, according to co-owner Karin Hampson, include everything from sourcing packaging and product design to delivering a finished product fit for the retail market.
“All packing materials can be sourced on your behalf by us. Our packing crew will go above and beyond to ensure that your goods are packed according to your specifications and exceeds your expectations,” Mrs Hampson expressed her thoughts. For more than 13 years, the husband-and-wife pair has been in the beekeeping business. Mr Hampson and his team of beekeepers are dedicated to creating 100% Australian raw honey and honeycomb for the retail and industrial markets. Mrs Hampson explained that the company grew into the packing services industry after seeing a demand for it while developing their retail brand.
“It was very difficult for us to breakthrough into the retail area at a competitive price since putting up a packaging factory would need a significant financial expenditure, which is a significant barrier to entrance into this industry,” she explained. “Our goal was to not only create something for ourselves, but also to make it available to other shops and food manufacturers that are searching for a one-stop-shop for all of their packaging needs.” “We are overjoyed that we have finally realised our dream of owning our own packing factory and that we can now provide this to other Australian businesses.” “Our primary goal is to provide economical packing of Australian honey, but this facility can also pack a variety of different syrups and jams.” The organisation would love to partner with other Australian businesses to see how they can support them in this space.
