Via the tool, the consumers will be guided through a simple financial review online to facilitate an analysis of their financial needs before being offered relevant products with four key objectives:

  1. Reducing the financial burden of medical expenses that may arise from illnesses
  2. Providing income protection when one is unable to work due to unfavorable life events
  3. Funding for child’s future education
  4. Securing lifetime income for a happy retirement

Tokio Marine Life Insurance Thailand has been focusing on personal financial planning, with the aim to support people in Thai society to better prepare for their needs in each life stage, and to ultimately assist in securing financial freedom and stability.

“We hope this new tool will empower our customers to do their own needs analysis as a first step towards understanding insurance”, said Mr. Toyotake Kuwata, Director & Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Thailand.

With the “Self Fact-Find Tool”, users will be able to determine their planning requirements in approximately four minutes, by answering questions on income, current saving patterns and future retirement funding needs.

Through the guided questions, consumers will also be provided with supplementary information to get a clearer picture of relevant costs. This includes information on average hospitalization cost to plan for medical expenses, average annual tuition fees for each level of education to plan for education funding for children and the amount of funds to be reserved for future daily expenses to plan for retirement.

“As Tokio Marine looks to further expand its presence in the region, it remains our top priority to provide useful tools for our customers to help pave way for more financial confidence”, said Mr. Saloon Tham, Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Asia.

The “Self Fact-Find Toolis available to customers and interested parties in Thailand through the company’s digital platforms, including its website (tokiomarine.com/sfft), mobile applications “TMLTH Touch Point” and LINE Official Account (@tokiomarinelife.th)

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.

The Indian Sun Team
