Anwer Ali Mohammed | Financial Planner

It wasn’t an easy start for Anwer Ali Mohammed in Australia after 11 years as an engineer in the Indian Air Force and then as a branch manager at an IT company for four years. When he arrived in Australia in 2004 Ali restarted or rather kickstarted his life here as a Sign-A-Rama salesman.

In 2010, he started Planet Insurance and Financial Planning. Armed with his Master’s in Public Admin, and Diploma in Financial Planning, Ali has been providing professional financial planning advice and solutions to clients. He prides himself on developing excellent working relationships with all clients to provide comprehensive financial advice based on their individual needs and goals.

“Taking the decision to give up my full time job and start my own business was the single most important moment in my career in Australia. There was no capital except what I could put in. Today, we have grown to have more than 3,000 trusted clients and 12 staff,” says Ali, who specialises in advice on investments and strategic asset allocation.

The way I see it

I believe… “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome” — Arthur Ashe

What I love about Australia… It’s heaven on earth. It’s a country full of opportunities for those who are willing to put in the hard yards

Advice to entrepreneurs… Work hard and thoroughly enjoy what you do. Success will follow

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
