Kamal Aeri | Entrepreneur

Get your head in the game, says Kamal Aeri. “It’s my business mantra and it’s kept me in the lead all these years. As the leader of your company, you need to portray a winning state of mind and exude positive energy. A good attitude is contagious and inspires others. If you need to fake it until you make it, so be it,” he says.

Ask Kamal’s colleagues and they will tell you Kamal’s positive attitude is contagious. Kamal moved to Australia in 2003, his first job at a bakery. But Kamal’s experience in strategic taxation, business and accounting advisory services, as well as in specialised areas such as self-managed super funds and financial and succession planning drew him into a whole new world. Kamal prides himself on nurturing client relationships and works closely with his clients to gain a full appreciation and understanding of their business. This is used to improve not only business performance but to plan for a profitable and sustainable future.

“Many people get too emotionally invested in their small business venture without focusing on growth and profitability. Everyone has the opportunity to be a successful entrepreneur, but the majority of people aren’t cut out for it,” he says. “You must always be prepared to walk away.”

The way I see it

Growth… Business growth is merely a measure of choice. Development assumes expansion, expansion embodying growth in potential. The two work together hand in hand, implying an understanding of an existing level of skill or experience, which can be measurably improved or grown to the benefit of the business.

A book I recommend… How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie

Favourite quote… “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible” — Francis Of Assisi

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
