Benny Manuel (Entrepreneur)

Benny Manuel, the Director of Currency Exchange Intl P/L, is an ex-naval pilot (one who takes great pride in having served his nation) who came to Australia in 1999. It is interesting that a man who conquered the skies during his tenure as a naval pilot in the Indian Navy from 1986 to 1995, having flown from all classes of Naval Ship decks, today helps people conquer their financial challenges by providing them a viable, safe and reliable platform for money transfer and exchange.

“Australia is a beautiful land of opportunity that helps you dream and realise those dreams,” he says.

Benny began his career post his Navy stint in Dubai as a business development manager for a real estate company and then took on a similar role at Singapore Exchange and Finance Sydney, before starting his business in 2012. “I define growth as a component in the calculation of value,” says Benny.

Benny is a realist and takes life one day at a time, probably a trait he cultivated during his time as a navy pilot. While many people dream of success each day, Benny believes that a person can make it happen when he wakes up each morning.

He believes in a healthy mind in a healthy body, and therefore keeps himself active playing squash. Benny is a successful businessman, for, according to him, “You don’t learn to walk by following rules, you learn by doing and falling over.”

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
