Who's Who of Melbourne's Indian Community 2017
Andrew Clarke

Andrew Clarke—Executive

Andrew Clarke, currently the marketing manager at Aitken Partners, had an interesting path to his current destination. He has held several jobs, having paid his way through university as an umpire, his first job being as a sports writer at an Australian Football publication in the 1980s, and then working at various levels in and around sports, including coaching with the Pakistan Shaheens and the Caulfield Bears where he also served as Club President. He also co-authored the autobiography of former professional Australian rules footballer Matthew Lloyd, who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Aitken Partners is a premium level Melbourne-based law firm offering a range of legal services to business, private clients, not-for-profits and the Australian Federal Government and its agencies. “We have lawyers who are accredited specialists in family law, commercial tenancy, workplace relations, commercial litigation, tax law, wills and estates, and property law,” says Clarke.

He adds that the Aitken Partners advantage runs much deeper than merely this level of expertise. “It is about our commitment to providing commerciality in our advice to clients; about genuine partner access but not to the exclusion of other lawyers who may be more appropriate for a given task. Our approach is designed to ensure our clients receive value for money.”

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
