Telstra says a dollar a day will do thanks to their new flexible pre-paid Day2Day mobile plan
Telstra, Australia’s largest mobile network, recently launched the easy and flexible Telstra Pre-Paid Day2Day mobile plan, with recharges starting from $5 for use for up to 5 days.
This means that for a minimum of $1 per day, charged every day (AEST) from customers’ available recharge credit, customers receive daily inclusions of unlimited calls and text to standard Australian numbers, 100MB data; and free Wi-Fi at over 900,000 Telstra Air hotspots around Australia.
For those customers who need more data, additional data at $1 per 100MB block is automatically added for usage through seamless auto top up.
Customers can also easily make unlimited standard calls to one of 10 international destinations for an extra $1 per day per destination, including India, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and South Korea.
“Keeping in touch with friends and family back home is now easier. This new offer gives our customers the flexibility and control to make affordable international calls when they want,” said Steve Long, Telstra’s Director of Pre-Paid Mobile Products.
“We developed the offer in response to our customers telling us they were looking for more flexibility and choice when it comes to their pre-paid service. This new offer will appeal to people who are looking for great value service with low upfront cost, extra data only when you need it and easy access to affordable international calls—all on Australia’s largest mobile network,” he added.

Support Independent Community Journalism
Dear Reader,The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.
We operate independently.
Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.
When you support The Indian Sun, you support:
• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers
We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.
If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.
Please consider making a contribution today.
Thank you for your support.
