Indian Entrepreneur Diksha Khanna wins St George Bank AusMumpreneur 2016 Award for customised dessert venture

Diksha Khanna from Hoppers Crossing, who founded Amazeology Australia (www.Amazeology.com.au)—which was launched only a couple of months ago—has been named St George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Retail Award winner.

The awards were held at Crown Melbourne, and talented mums from all over the country gathered to support and encourage other Australian mumpreneurs.

The mother of two was presented with the award by naming sponsor St George Bank’s Head of SME Stuart Zalunardo for being the first business in Australia with the groundbreaking technology and concept which allows the customer to completely customise the taste and look of desserts like macaroons, marshmallows and fortune cookies by printing personal messages and photographs on them in a few easy steps. The unique website can directly upload images from the customers social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram taking the concept of customisation to a whole new level in today’s tech savvy world.

St. George Bank is keen to support Australian entrepreneurs like Diksha and her fellow AusMumpreneur Award winners, Stuart Zalunardo said.

“We are delighted that Diksha has won this award, she has an outstanding business and is an inspirational role model and ambassador for mums in business everywhere. We wish her and all our amazing Ausmumpreneur Award winners every success in the coming year,” co-founder of AusMumpreneur Peace Mitchell said.

“I faced a series of hurdles both personally and with the technical aspects of setting up the business. The concept took a year to eventuate into a business and within that year I went through a period of depression caused by the realisation of the enormity of the project and the overwhelming fear of failure. The notion of letting my children watch me give up was enough to jerk me back into action,” said Diksha on receiving the award.

This is the seventh edition of the AusMumpreneur Awards, with the business mum community growing at lightning speed as mothers look for opportunities to join the ranks of small business owners in search of more flexibility, financial freedom and family time.

This is Diksha’s second award in just a span of a couple of weeks after she was named the Emerging Female Entrepreneur of the year in Wyndham City Council’s inaugural Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
