In the past few days Falls Creek has had over 50 cms of snow fall blanketing the resort and turning the village into a Winter wonderland. With all this fresh snow, plenty of new runs have opened including Australia’s longest beginner run, Wombats Ramble, and new chairlifts and runs are opening every day as with the resort’s slope maintenance team working tirelessly through the night grooming the runs and making snow at every opportunity.

“We’ve had great natural snow and with freezing temperatures overnight throughout the upcoming week. It looks like we’ll have lots of opportunity to make snow allowing us to open more terrain every day,” said Karl Nowakowski, Mountain Operations Manager.

The snow fall has arrived just in time for the start of the school holidays making it the perfect time to head up to Falls Creek with the family and enjoy the mountain. The school holidays are always full of activities for families from Ski School, to the Street Party on Tuesdays and a FREE fireworks display in the Village Bowl every Thursday night starting on 30 June.

With more snow set to fall toward the end of the week it will be another great weekend up in the mountains with 10 lifts predicted to be running.
