Get ready to dance your way into 2024 at Parramatta Park, where Aussie DJ legends Bag Raiders, Cut Copy, and the beloved Wiggles DJ Dorothy the Dinosaur will headline the city’s largest-ever New Year’s Eve celebration.
Taking place on Tuesday, 31 December 2023, from 5–9:30 pm, the free event has doubled in size with two main stages, family-friendly activities, a smorgasbord of delicious food trucks, and a dazzling 9 pm fireworks finale.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said this year’s celebration promises to be unforgettable.
“Parramatta loves putting on a show for the whole city. We’ve just lit up Parramatta Square for Christmas, and now we’re getting ready for New Year’s Eve in Parramatta Park, our next big celebration,” Cr Zaiter said.
“From kids to adults, everyone is welcome to join us for this spectacular night as we celebrate a year that’s brought Parramatta closer to becoming a global city.”
What’s On at Parramatta’s NYE Party?
- Live Performances: Bag Raiders, Cut Copy, and DJ Dorothy the Dinosaur will take the stage.
- Family-Friendly Fun: Activities for all ages, perfect for families.
- Foodie Heaven: Enjoy bites from 30+ food vendors and drinks from the Kombi Keg Bar.
- Fireworks Finale: A 9 pm display to end the night with a bang!
Entry is free, but a wristband is required for access to the Crescent Stage. Wristbands will be available for collection at the Crescent Stage wristband tent from 1 pm on New Year’s Eve, on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event reflects Parramatta’s thriving 24-hour economy and commitment to hosting world-class celebrations.
“We know how to throw a party in Parramatta,” Cr Zaiter added. “From Parramatta Lanes drawing over 200,000 attendees to this landmark New Year’s Eve event, there’s no better way to ring in 2024.”

Dear Reader,The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.
