Einstein Kidz Abacus recently marked a significant milestone with a successful event that brought together the best of both academic and creative worlds. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, the institution hosted the Mathopedia Math Competition, followed by a vibrant Fashion Show, both of which showcased the diverse talents of its students.

Einstein Kidz Abacus has spent the last decade enhancing children’s mathematical skills through the abacus method, becoming a leading institution in Australia. Their innovative approach continues to inspire young minds across the State, and this event was a clear reflection of their ongoing commitment to education.

The Mathopedia Math Competition, held on July 28th at The Ponds High School, NSW, was the highlight of the celebration. Students from 15 different centers came together to compete, displaying remarkable skill and enthusiasm in abacus mathematics. Approximately 80 students participated, each demonstrating their proficiency in a subject often regarded as challenging. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Warren Kirby, Member of Parliament, and Councillor Sreeni Pillamarri, both of whom added significance to the occasion by delivering inspiring remarks and presenting awards to the top performers. Their participation underscored the importance of mathematical education and recognised the hard work and achievements of the students.

Adding a creative twist to the day was the Fashion Show, where students took to the stage to display their flair for design and artistic expression. The show was a dynamic complement to the academic competition, highlighting the holistic approach of Einstein Kidz Abacus in nurturing not just intellectual but also creative talents. The fashion display was met with enthusiasm, showcasing innovative designs that reflected the diverse skills and creativity of the students.

The event, blending maths and style, not only celebrated the accomplishments of the past decade but also set the stage for future successes. With high-resolution photos capturing the key moments of the day, the memories of this event are sure to inspire and motivate both current and future students.

Einstein Kidz Abacus looks forward to continuing its journey of fostering academic excellence and creative expression among its students, and this event was a perfect reflection of that mission.

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.
