A thrilling women’s A series across Queensland in August will set the stage for a dynamic summer of cricket, featuring Australia’s matches against four separate Indian sides.
The Australian Women’s Team is gearing up to face India in the CommBank ODI Series this December. This will be followed by a men’s A series and the much-anticipated NRMA Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series, which begins in November.
National selectors have unveiled three distinct squads for the women’s A series, featuring three T20 matches in Brisbane, three 50-over matches in Mackay, and a four-day clash on the Gold Coast. Australia’s vice-captain, Tahlia McGrath, will lead both the T20 and 50-over squads, accompanied by national pace bowlers Kim Garth, Megan Schutt, and Tayla Vlaeminck in the white-ball games.
Domestic stars, including Queensland’s Charli Knott and Victoria’s Nicole Faltum, will have the chance to showcase their talents and leadership throughout the series.

Speaking ahead of the series, McGrath expressed her excitement: “I’m really looking forward to being a part of this series and for the challenge that India A will pose. It presents those of us not playing in The Hundred with the chance to prepare for a huge summer against a strong opposition.”
National Selector, Shawn Flegler, added, “It’s great to be able to welcome yet another Indian side to our shores for what’s going to be an exciting summer. We’ve seen some tough battles between the two countries in the past, especially in Mackay, and I expect this series to be no different. This series will allow us to take a closer look at some of the players who have impressed at the domestic level while giving the nationally contracted players the chance to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.”
The Great Barrier Reef Arena, known for hosting high-caliber international events, will once again be the venue for the three A matches, benefiting both the Mackay region and the broader community.
