In a remarkable gathering at Home Bush Community Center Park in Sydney, enthusiasts of PV Jayanthi came together to honour the rich legacy of the former Indian Prime Minister, PV Narasimha Rao. The event, led by Mahesh Bigala, a prominent member of the PV Jayanthi celebrations committee and coordinator of BRS in Australia, saw the attendance of Deputy Mayor Sandy Reddy and a host of esteemed guests.

Mahesh Bigala took the opportunity to reflect on the grandeur of the PV Jayanthi celebrations orchestrated by the previous BRS Government in Telangana. It was highlighted that Australia is the proud location of the first statue of PV Narasimha Rao outside India, an initiative directed by the former chief minister KCR. This acknowledgment underscored the widespread recognition of the festival’s global significance beyond the confines of India.

The event also served as a platform to commend Mahesh Bigala’s notable contributions to a crowdfunding campaign for a significant project. In a proactive move, attendees submitted a petition via change.org to the central Government, advocating for the posthumous awarding of the Bharath Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao. This initiative, supported by various organizations including the USA Team led by Predeep Swarna, demonstrated a collective global effort to honor the esteemed legacy of PV Narasimha Rao.

The gathering was graced by the presence of individuals such as Shanthi Reddy, Kari Reddy, Rajesh Giri, Rapolu, Kishore Bande, Ravi Dupati, Rahul Rampalli, Chiran Puramsetti, Ravi Shankar Renakuntla, Krishna Devati, Hemant Gangu, Sunil, and Shakar Mitra. Additionally, respected senior citizens like Narayana Reddy, Nageshwar Rao, and George Reddy actively participated in the program, expressing their gratitude and enthusiasm for the initiative.

Overall, the event in Sydney was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of PV Narasimha Rao, bringing together a community of admirers and advocates who continue to celebrate and honour his contributions to India and the world.
