In a celebration of cultural vibrancy and artistic prowess, Geetha’s Natyalaya mesmerised the audience with its Annual Event on 18 November at Ignatius Park College. The showcase of traditional dance forms left attendees spellbound, with participants ranging from the age of 7 to 80 years, embodying the enduring beauty of classical dance.

Under the guidance of the esteemed dance teacher, Dr. Geetha Sadagopan, the event not only celebrated the beauty of Indian classical dance but also served as a bridge between generations, with participants ranging from the exuberance of childhood to the grace of seasoned performers in their 80s. The inclusive nature of Geetha’s Natyalaya was evident in the diverse age range, highlighting the universal appeal of these timeless dance forms.

Dr. Geetha Sadagopan, known for her dedication to preserving and promoting Indian classical dance, emphasised the importance of passing down these ancient art forms to younger generations. Her commitment to teaching Bharatanatyam has left an indelible mark on the communities she has touched, first in Adelaide and now in Townsville.
