The ballot paper, an eclectic mix of political perspectives, lists the candidates as follows: Ethelyn King of the Libertarian party, Celeste Ackerly representing the Sustainable Australia Party with a focus on curbing overdevelopment and corruption, Ian Cook, Jane Foreman of Family First Victoria, Courtney Mann from the Liberal party, Kelly Cvetkova of the Victorian Socialists, Rhonda Garad for the Australian Greens, Eden Foster of the Australian Labor Party, independent candidate Tina Theodossopoulos, and Bronwyn Currie of the Animal Justice Party.

This by-election, scheduled for 18 November, is not just a routine exercise in democracy but a reflection of the evolving political consciousness in Mulgrave. Compulsory for all eligible voters, it’s set from 8 am to 6 pm, emphasising the importance of civic participation in shaping the district’s future.
