Dear Readers,

We are at the end of 2021 and what a year it has been. And just when we thought we are out of the Covid woods with full vaccination of Victorians crossing the 90 per cent mark, Omicron is here staring us in the face.

However, the lockdowns and restrictions did not impede our work. We at The Indian Sun had our action going and we went ahead with our digital production of more interviews across a broad spectrum of areas. We tapped into every story that time and resources allowed us and our small but efficient team did their best. Our aim is to be insightful, first with the news (as much as we can) and engage with the community.

We hope we gave you good moments to savour through our work. I want to send you all dear readers a very warm New Year’s wishes from everyone here at The Indian Sun. I hope you’ve enjoyed the last 12 months of our e-magazine on our website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

I want to acknowledge the real struggles that every business is facing in these pandemic times. Would really appreciate your support by liking or following us on social media. Special thanks to our readers and patrons for their readership and support.

We will be back in 2022 with a bang, again, with more creativity and commitment.

Have a great 2022.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
