For over 35 years, Stage School Australia has advanced young people’s personal skills like confidence, public speaking and teamwork through training in the performing arts. Our friendly and supportive classes develop natural abilities and foster a lifelong love of learning and creativity.

New research from the Australia Council for the Arts shows a growing number of Australians value the arts for its role in building social cohesion, personal happiness, overcoming stress and anxiety and driving economic growth.

As our families, communities and nation come to terms with the uncertainty, isolation and social and economic disruption of the world in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the power of the arts and creativity to connect and uplift us…has never been more important.

Our streams of performing arts training include the Australian Boys Dance Academy—boys-only dance classes (6-18 years), Beginners OnStage—song, dance & acting for young children (4-7 years), the Victorian Youth Theatre (VYT)—drama and public speaking, and the Young Australian Broadway Chorus (YABC)—musical theatre for young people 8-18 years.

Stage School Australia holds classes at 21 locations across metro Melbourne including a new location in Point Cook!

Proud to be a family owned and operated Melbourne company.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
