A Landmark in the History: Bellagraph Nova Group Discourses About the Internet Revolution Era after the Outbreak: “This is the best time ever”

PARIS, July 21, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — In 2020, while the new CORONAVIRUS epidemic swept the world, the newly established Bellagraph Nova Group has received mainstream media attention and held a press conference and the following interview is a summary of the questions raised at the meeting.

The Group’s Chairman Ms. Evangeline Shen, the co-founder Mr. Nelson Loh and the co-founder Mr. Terence Loh/ unanimous: All the pandemics in human history have massively reshaped our society, reformed religion existence, altered values of mankind and changed behavior patterns globally.  Starting from the 40s of 14th century, the Black Death rapidly spread across Europe until 1771 and killed over 75 million people. The pandemic immediately heralded changes in both the social and political systems and directly led to the collapse of the feudalism. According to Boccaccio in “The Decameron”, the Black Death led to monumental changes in social structure and religious form, which ended the Catholic Reign and resulted in an integration of various religions throughout Europe.  Furthermore, this pandemic brought about massive wealth erosion in Europe and laid to the birth of laissez faire capitalism and catalyzed the industrial revolution in the 18th century.

In 1918, the Spanish flu quickly spread throughout Europe and eventually the world. According to scholars, over 1.8 billion people were infected worldwide. While this plague did not directly reshape social structures, the Spanish Flu did have a profound impact by ending World War I. Secondly, this outbreak spawned the feminist movement due to a decline in labor force and distribution of wealth, thereby leading to the 19th amendment in the US Constitution and other historical human rights movements. From this perspective, the Spanish Flu was the ultimate factor advancing mankind towards modern civilization.

Would coronavirus cause more impacts than Spanish Flu or even Black Death? As history has taught us, the effects of these global phenomena can occur years or even decades and centuries afterwards. Given the finite human life spend, one could never phantom the after effect of any global pandemic. However, we have already witnessed how coronavirus has altered behavior patterns, by switching social interaction from offline to online. And this O2O transition will only accelerate going forward. We can call it “the new internet revolution”. As countries around the world are relaxing their financial policies, it will bring about global asset appreciation and new investment opportunities. Geopolitics will have contracted significantly and lead to more regionally-based operations for multinational companies. Looking further ahead, just as the Black Death and the Spanish Flu has advanced modernization, the coronavirus will also thrive mankind to advance faster across all aspects, such as technology and human civilization. Which means it will also catalyze human rights movements, such as the movement regarding George Floyd in the United States. Along the same vein, it will also result in movements such as women empowerment movements, LGBT movements, religious harmony movements to promote social reform. And it will catalyze technical revolution on the same basis.

To summarize, each of these historical pandemics will firstly always resulted in global regionalization. It is challenging to all global enterprises, including the Bellagraph Nova Group, to responded to such challenge, we are establishing more local presences by setting up more regional offices in respective target markets. The recent merger of the Bellagraph Group, who has a strong presence in North America, Europe and Africa, has allowed this new conglomerate to already enjoy improved operational efficiency throughout its expansive network around the world. Secondly, these global events have corresponded to more emphasis on humanity and human rights in addition to a technological advancement. Europe is the frontier of such advancement and human right movements, hence the BN Group has chosen Paris as its new headquarters. Further to our office in Switzerland and appointment of European CEO, our decision to move global headquarters to Paris is inevitable as it’s to follow the path of history, as well as it’s to strategize for future.

To what extent has the pandemic affected the original launch plan (in terms of timing and investment loss)? What has been done to make up for it?

The Group’s co-founder Mr. Nelson Loh: We strongly believe, that this pandemic is just likely any other crisis, it would only impact businesses that are weak, that are problematic, that are inflexible. And for us, the BN Group, it is not a challenge, but our opportunities. When the pandemic started, as countries around the world began to close their borders and limit travels, we quickly realized that major countries in Europe and America would restore their positioning as regional center, and it would be essential to set up a local headquarter in each respective region. Therefore, we accelerated the merger of the Bellagraph Nova Group and immediately decided to move our new headquarters to Paris, as it’s the center of Europe. This has allowed us to seize opportunities in expansion and to further our investments in the monetary policy easing environment.

Ms. Evangeline Shen, Mr. Nelson Loh and Mr. Terence Loh. The successful trio have been actively engaged in merger talks for the last 18 months in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic crisis. Can you elaborate on this? How was this achieved during the pandemic?

The Group’s co-founder Mr. Terence Loh: The past eighteen months have posed many challenges, it wasn’t only about the pandemic, it was also about the ongoing trade situation between China and the United States, and it was about the overall decline of global economy. These challenges are unprecedented to those entrepreneurs and politicians who are weak, who are narrow minded and who have limited visions. But putting in the length of history, it’s not only Not unprecedented, that in fact it’s nothing comparing to what happened during 1914 to 1945. There was the World War I , and then followed by 10 year grand depression, and then soon afterwards it was the World War II. Such economy was much worse than now, but it was during such crisis, when the United States become the world’s most powerful country, and its economy kept growing until today. The three co-founders of the BN Group have agreed in common, that the coronavirus is not a challenge. For a company like us, which is strong in social media and social networks, which is based on top of technological innovation, which values human rights, which takes advancing human civilization as its initiatives, it is our best opportunity ever to grow. It is where our strength lies. The BN Group appointed the only female in the 3 co-founders, Ms Evangeline Shen as the company’s chairman, engaged former LVMH group executive Nereides de Bourbon as global marketing and investor relations director, who is a member of the LGBT committee. The company has also acquired former L’Oreal Group’s network spokesperson Badara Ndiaye as the company’s brand planning and product spokesperson. The BN Group is providing a prime example, by providing opportunities equally to the most talented individuals regardless of their gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation. This has demonstrated our initiatives of truly promoting humanity and advancing civilization, it is not only our vision, but also our faith of true responsibilities of a global enterprise, and a role model for all the other enterprises.

In order to still be able to expand and launch new projects during times like this, one probably has to have very deep pockets. And to continue to go ahead with business expansion, you need to be able to afford to bleed. Do you agree? Why or why not?

The Group’s Chairman Ms. Evangeline Shen: With a total of 31 major subsidiaries, operating in more than one hundred countries and employing over 23,000 employees worldwide, the Bellagraph Nova Group is an established global conglomerate. The company doesn’t only have sufficient funds to deploy, it also has strong presence in human resources and operational infrastructure, especially in Europe and US. It is not only funds that are required to plan for business expansion nowadays also requires courage and forward looking strategies. Our BN group has very well planned infrastructure in Europe, North America and Africa. The BN Group has adapted quickly to maintain a highly profitable business model across all its entities while still being able to either firmly hold or even increase the valuation for its respective holdings. These impressive collective business decisions have caught the eye and impressed prospective investors around the world from the Middle East to the United States. For instance, through one of the BN Group’s entities, Bellagraph Jewelry’s client relationship managements, the King of Saudi Arabia, the King of Qatar, and Queen Mother of Qatar has reached out to show their interest on investment opportunities and collaborations. And through Obama Foundation’s supports on our initiatives of promoting human rights, we have attracted financial investment firms including Citibank, JP Morgan, and other famous fund managers to open discussion on how to invest in the company’s expansion plans. Our BN group’s has unparalleled resources and potentials globally. One of the BN Group’s key strengths is its ability to brand and market its vision and business success digitally across social media worldwide. Based in North America, the Bellagraph Media production team garners over 20 million hits every seven days. This viewership exposure is comparable to video playback analytics for Apple during the release of its latest iPhone model. Such capability is vital to this era we call the new internet revolution, and is the basis of our success.

What other new projects are in the pipeline?

The Group’s co-founder Mr. Nelson Loh : The Bellagraph Nova Group sees the continent of Africa as a rapidly emerging market so we are currently laying down the infrastructure to invest and expand our network there. Previously we had set up an office in Senegal to manage operations in West Africa. And currently, our team is considering potential venues in South Africa for a new regional headquarter to facilitate management of business operations in the robotics, alcohol, and luxury jewelry sectors. Furthermore, by invitation from the President of more than twenty countries in Africa, we are in discussions to build a new state-of-the-art hospital focused on treating albinism.

Along with Africa, the BN Group is looking to leverage off its network in the Middle East by setting up more offices including medical/aesthetics clinics and jewelry boutiques. In collaboration with royal families in the Middle East, the BN Group will jointly establish a development fund for female entrepreneurs to assist and carry out philanthropic exchanges and activities for various royal families.
