Sameer Khoja | Entrepreneur
Sameer Khoja, who is currently the director of the Air Voice group, will tell you it’s been a long rough road to success. Sameer, who made the move to Adelaide in 2006, wound up in a vineyard as a grape picker, a job he held for a few days, before moving on to working in a poultry farm for two months. That led to a career as a door to door sales representative in an energy company, and here he is today, director of the Air Voice group, managing 42 Vodafone dealer stores across Australia, as well as juggling a retail supermarket business, real estate business and accounting business.
“I remember when I got my first mobile from the Vodafone Rundle mall store and thought it would be so great to own a store like this. It was proud moment for me when I took over that store,” says Sameer.
“It gives one a great sense of achievement when one succeeds in a new land, thinking you arrived in an unknown place and achieved your dreams. It means lot to be known as an Indian business person here in Australia.”
Sameer says it has been 12 years but he still cannot get enough of the sporting culture in Australia and its beautiful beaches.
