Karan Sharma

Karan Sharma (Entrepreneur)

Karan Sharma, director of Pro-Active Investment Group Pty Ltd, is a young entrepreneur in every sense of the word. After migrating to Australia in 2000, Karan decided to become his own boss from the get go. In 2003, at the age of 18 he started as a door-to-door salesman, selling phones, as an independent contractor for 3G Phone (now called Vodafone). At 22, he became the youngest Franchisee of Harvey Norman.

At a very young age he had also began investing in real estate. In 2010, at just 25 years of age he started his own investment business called PAIG and then in 2016 launched its first online platform—PAIG Hub—to connect people with all real estate services.

Karan sees Australia as a land of opportunities with a good work life balance, good quality of life and a civilised and fair legal system. He is proud to be an Indian business person representing his country and its people in Australia. He hopes to motivate the younger generation to stay on the right path in life and achieve their dreams. In his leisure time, he plays cricket, and travels every opportunity he gets.

For Karan, “Opportunities don’t happen. You create them by building relationships and trust.”

His advice to budding entrepreneurs? “Stay loyal to your dreams, work hard. In life, there is always a comeback. It is more fun to go up from being down as it makes you stronger.”

The way I see it

Growth? Growth is a reward from taking calculated risks and breaking the comfort zone in your daily life to fulfil your dreams.

Business mantra! Never give up and stay positive. Always keep looking for the right people to work, the right opportunities and become a leader and lead your team towards success.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
