Tickets are now available for Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond, with the festival set to return from 8 to 17 May and bring more than 150 events to locations across South Australia.

The newly released programme places the state’s food and drink culture front and centre, drawing together chefs, producers and makers from across the country, alongside a selection of international guests. Events will run throughout metropolitan Adelaide as well as regional areas, reflecting the festival’s ongoing focus on connecting visitors with the places where much of South Australia’s produce is grown.

This year’s line-up includes American sommelier André Hueston Mack, Spanish chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho hosting a dining experience aboard The Ghan, and Stockholm chef Martin Kjäll joining Jake Kellie for a fire-driven feast. Hong Kong’s Bar Leone will also make an appearance through a takeover at Adelaide venue Honeydripper, in collaboration with Never Never.

One of the headline moments for 2026 is the Australian-exclusive arrival of Punk Royale, a collective of European chefs known for their playful approach to modern dining. The group will stage two events in Adelaide. Closer to home, South Australian favourite Poh Ling Yeow will invite festivalgoers to explore the flavours of Southeast Asia through a dedicated experience.

At the heart of the festival, Town Square will return to Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga, hosting many of the major events and offering a central meeting place for visitors. A new addition this year is Good Neighbour, presented by Mitolo Family Farms, described as the festival’s own neighbourhood wine bar.

Organisers are also introducing a new Club Series, designed to bring people into some of Adelaide’s long-standing cultural clubs. The concept pairs leading Australian chefs with local cooks to create collaborative menus that reflect the traditions and communities of each venue.

The festival arrives as South Australia continues to build momentum as a destination for major events, following a busy calendar that includes Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Fringe and a range of sporting fixtures. Tourism officials point to growing visitor numbers and increased international flight access as factors helping to broaden the festival’s reach.

Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison said Tasting Australia remains a key part of the state’s annual events schedule, offering a platform for regional producers and showcasing local ingredients to visitors from across the country.

Festival Curator Duncan Welgemoed said the 2026 programme is built around shared experiences of food, family and place, with hospitality venues playing a larger role than ever before.

The full programme and ticket information are available through the official Tasting Australia website.
